Xeroderma pigmentosum variant

Xeroderma pigmentosum variant is a milder subtype of Xeroderma pigmentosum (XP), a rare photodermatosis characterized by severe sun Sensitivity and an increased risk of Skin cancer. Patients present with Skin lesions, generally at the sun-exposed parts of the Body which develop into Skin Cancer at about 20-30 years of age with a 1,000 times higher frequency than that of the general population. No neurological manifestations are observed.
